Rana Muslim Nikkah & Engagement Dress

A champagne satin gown with a gathered empire bodice, full bishop sleeves and a matching drape that covers the shoulders and falls behind as a cape. Beaded appliqué sits at each shoulder and at the cuffs; the rest is plain, fluid satin that catches light as it moves. At $499, it is the gown most brides choose for the engagement and the nikkah when the big dress is being saved for the walima.

The details

• Coverage. The shoulder drape wraps the neckline completely and doubles as a cape, so there is no collar to fight with a hijab and no gap at the neck. Sleeves are full length and gathered into beaded cuffs.
• Silhouette. A softly gathered bodice that sits just under the bust and releases into a flowing A-line skirt with a short train. It is forgiving to wear and comfortable to sit in for a long evening.
• Fabric. Weighted satin with a soft sheen, fully lined. It drapes rather than clings and is opaque under flash.
• Colour. A warm champagne that reads as blush in daylight and as pale gold under evening light. It photographs well next to white and next to colour, which is why it suits mixed bridal parties.

What's included

The gown, with its attached shoulder drape, and custom sizing. The Rana does not include a hijab; the drape wraps the neckline so any hijab in champagne, ivory or blush sits cleanly against it.
