Khadija Beaded Cape Muslim Wedding Dress

A white chiffon cape gown with hand-beaded floral embroidery across the shoulders and down the centre front. The bodice gathers softly under the beadwork, the sleeves are full and finish in beaded cuffs, and a sheer cape falls from the shoulders over an A-line skirt. Fully lined, high-necked, and quieter than its price suggests.

The details

• Neckline. A closed stand collar with a small beaded V at the front, high enough for a hijab to tuck in cleanly, with no skin between scarf and dress.
• Embroidery. Hand-beaded floral appliqué with sequin detail, concentrated at the yoke, centre panel and cuffs so the rest of the gown stays soft and unfussy.
• Sleeves. Long bishop sleeves gathered into embellished cuffs at the wrist.
• Cape and skirt. A floor-length chiffon cape attached at the shoulders, over a lined A-line skirt with a short train. The layers move together without adding weight.

The Khadija is a nikkah gown first: light enough for a long day, covered enough for the masjid, and photographed beautifully in daylight. Brides also choose it for a walima where a full ball gown would feel like too much.
